Question 1

How do you handle deliveries to the large medical campuses and secured buildings in Iowa City?

Accepted Answer

This city features a large medical campus and many multi-story residential buildings with secured entrances. When sending to medical facilities, provide the specific floor and room number so the driver can navigate the internal corridors. For apartments, enter the building access code at checkout so the driver can reach the lobby.

Question 2

How are flowers delivered given the density and parking constraints of the city center?

Accepted Answer

Flowers are hand-delivered in water to account for the dense urban layout and restricted parking zones in the city center. This method allows drivers to navigate one-way streets and carry arrangements directly to office reception desks or residential front doors. Providing a recipient phone number helps the driver manage deliveries to properties that lack open public access.

Question 3

What happens if the recipient is not available at a secured property or medical facility?

Accepted Answer

If the recipient is unavailable at a secured building or medical facility, the driver will not leave the arrangement in public hallways or outside entry doors. They will use the phone number provided at checkout to coordinate a secure hand-off with the recipient or a building attendant. If a specific flower is unavailable, a similar variety is substituted so the delivery still occurs on the requested date.
