Flower Delivery in Locust Fork, AL

The town takes its name from the river, the Locust Fork of the Black Warrior, which cuts a rocky channel through the middle of Blount County and draws paddlers every spring. This is covered-bridge country: Swann Bridge spans the Locust Fork just up the road at Cleveland, Horton Mill Bridge stands north of Oneonta, and Highway 79 ties the valley together. Locust Fork High School and the small church cemeteries along the ridge roads are the addresses locals give out. Routes here also take in Cleveland, Oneonta, Blountsville, Trafford and Warrior. The cutoff is 2:00 PM. Place an order before then and it goes out on the afternoon run, which is how same-day flower delivery reaches even the gravel-road addresses off Highway 160. Drop-offs include the hospital in Oneonta, the nursing and assisted living homes around the county seat, the Blount County schools, and houses in the Nectar and Hayden communities on the far side of the river. Most orders come from relatives in Birmingham, an hour south, or from children who moved away and still send for birthdays and anniversaries. A Locust Fork florist partner builds each one by hand. Cotton Candy at $64.99, soft and pink, is an easy new-baby or first-birthday gift; Beautiful in Blue at $79.99 reads well for a retirement or a get-well delivery to the Oneonta hospital; and Teleflora's Hearts In Heaven Bouquet at $89.99 is what people ask for when they need funeral flowers at the country churches along Blount County's ridge roads. The 7-day freshness guarantee runs from the day the flowers arrive. If you are unsure whether a church, funeral home or rural address on the Locust Fork routes is covered, our verified destinations directory lists the confirmed Blount County stops with the delivery notes attached.
